Live — every clip locks from heat to true color the instant its checksum matches

Why VERA exists

Know your footage actually made it.

This is the whole job: copy every card to every drive, then prove every frame arrived. Each clip lands cold as a thermal heat-signature, gets read back byte-for-byte against the original, and only locks to true color when the checksums match. That's not a progress bar moving — it's verification you can see, one clip at a time. And if a clip doesn't verify, it stays cold. VERA will never tell you it's safe on a guess.

  • xxHash64, frame-for-frame, on every drive. Read back and compared, never assumed — with an industry-standard MHL written alongside your footage.
  • Stays cold on failure. A clip that doesn't verify never warms to color, and a cancelled copy cleans up its partial instead of leaving a half-written file behind.
  • Safe to reformat, by drive count. Free space checked before the first frame; one copy gets a warning, two or more and you have a redundant backup.
  • Opt-in eject. When it's verified, eject the card on your terms — never automatically.
VERA verifying clips — some warmed to true color, the rest still thermal
How it works

Three steps. No camera-folder mess.

Drop the card, pick your drives, walk away. VERA handles the copy, the checksums, and the proof.

01 · DROP

Drop the card

Drag a card or hand-pick clips. VERA pulls the footage and ignores the camera's folder clutter — just your frames.

02 · FAN OUT

Copy to every drive at once

Add as many destinations as you want. VERA reads the card once and fans out to all of them — a redundant backup in a single pass.

03 · WRAP

Read the heat — and wrap the day

Each clip is checksummed frame-for-frame and warms from thermal to true color as it passes. When the whole job is verified, VERA tells you it's safe to reformat — and wraps every camera into one dailies document to send the client.

VERA dailies — the shoot day, grouped by camera, with the color of the day
And then it wraps the day

Hand the client their whole shoot day.

Once the footage is safe, VERA goes one step no other offload tool does — it wraps the entire shoot into one clean document. Every camera, every clip as a hero frame, the color of the day across the timeline, the day in numbers. Not a tech log — dailies a client is glad to receive, generated the moment your footage is verified.

  • The whole day, by camera. A-cam, B-cam, drone — every angle in one document, grouped the way you shot it, then a full-bleed mosaic of the day to close.
  • The shoot, visualized. The color of the day, the footage heartbeat, the day in numbers — the shape of a shoot a client never gets to see.
  • Grade it to taste. Drop your own LUT and VERA re-grades the stills — flat S-Log becomes a cinematic look the client feels.
  • Yours to send, nothing to expire. One self-contained file or PDF on every drive — no login, no cloud.

Questions

The short answers.

What does "verified frame-for-frame" actually mean?

VERA copies each clip, then reads the copy back off the drive and compares its xxHash64 checksum against the original. If a single byte differs, the clip doesn't pass. It's the difference between "the file appeared" and "the file is provably identical."

Will the free trial cripple anything?

No. The trial is the full product — every feature, no throttling, no watermarks. You get three complete verified offloads. We'd never limit a tool whose whole job is keeping your footage safe.

Do I need to be online?

The one-time license runs forever, fully offline — built for sets with no signal. The monthly plan checks in occasionally but keeps a long offline grace window, and it will never block an offload in progress.

What cameras and cards does it work with?

Any card you can mount on your Mac. VERA pulls the video files and skips the camera's folder structure, so Sony, Canon, RED-style trees, SD, CFexpress and SSD readers all just work.

Is my footage ever uploaded anywhere?

Never. VERA is a local Mac app. Your footage and your reports stay on your drives. There's no cloud, no account required to run it, nothing to leak.

What about Windows?

VERA is Mac-first today. Windows isn't on the near-term roadmap — we'd rather do one platform exceptionally than two adequately.
